We sold and bought with Adam and Debs, which was just as well as our buyer’s house sale was an absolute nightmare and it really helped with the communications. We were really impressed with Adam’s knowledge of the market and the research he’d done prior to turning up to value the house and we liked the personal touch of knowing it was just he and Debs who would be showing the house.

The marketing of our house was incredible - the photographer was amazing and didn’t bat an eyelid when I asked her if I needed to run to the shop for fresh bananas because mine had gone overripe - clearly she must have thought I was a lunatic, but she was very kind. She made lots of little tweaks to the bits she photographed and I will keep those forever to remind me how incredible the house looked; even if it was only until my toddler got home!

Debs dealt with the sales progression side of things and if it wasn’t for all of her efforts with a very tricky bottom of the chain, we’d have probably given up! We also saw her in action when she showed us the house we ended up buying and she is equally as talented at that!

Throughout the very drawn out journey towards exchange, the pretty much daily updates from Debs were a total lifeline, during what was an extremely trying time! She is an excellent communicator and handled us, our buyer and our seller with the utmost competence - including the occasional slightly hysterical outburst from myself :-s Debs really brings a personal touch to what can be such a stressful time and it genuinely made such an enormous difference to us, especially since we had a newborn baby and she really understood the extra challenges that gave us!

And whilst we’re literally never moving again; when the time inevitably comes, I’ll definitely be calling these guys to list this house.

We sold our house in Amesbury to move closer to family, completing just before the stamp duty rise on 1 April 2025.

We initially went to another estate agent on Amesbury High Street and had a really disappointing experience. We were given a much lower estimate than we were expecting, despite the significant investment we’d made in the property (new flooring throughout, updated kitchen, new bathrooms, professional decoration, a fully re-landscaped garden, and the creation of an open-plan kitchen/diner). We were also told that larger homes “don’t sell” where we lived, and there was very little enthusiasm for selling ours at all.

When we spoke to Adam, the difference was immediate. He was positive, honest, listened thoughtfully, and understood both our home and our wider family goal. The marketing was excellent, particularly the video, which really captured the feel of the house and made it stand out. Our property was listed at the price we genuinely needed in order to live in Bath - a move we’d only thought possible if we downsized massively or compromised significantly on location.

Through a mixture of good luck and pure skill, the right buyers came along and fell in love with our home. Debs’ genuine, calm and wise approach made the negotiation process swift and refreshingly fuss-free. She was brilliant at responding, incredibly accessible (often outside usual hours), and handled everything with professionalism and warmth. The result was an offer that not only met but exceeded our expectations.

The whole process had its wobbles, naturally, but Debs and Adam managed to save the day many times, including trouble-shooting and fixing breaks in the chain behind us, dealing with other less competent and less honest estate agents and helping to remedy a major issue close to the finish line that could have caused the whole chain the collapse! Adam and Debs seem to spend a lot of their time swooping in and helping to fix problems big and small that other agents would probably just wipe their hands of!

One thing we would have appreciated was a bit more clarity at the start that Debs would quickly become our main point of contact, as we felt we lost Adam for a little while and did wonder if he'd forgotten about us (he was just mega busy!). A clearer 'hand over' would have been reassuring. However, this absolutely doesn’t justify anything less than a 5-star review.

At the end of the day, we achieved a sale price nearly £70k higher than the high street agent’s estimate, completed before the stamp duty rise, and moved into a beautiful family home that is, somehow, even better than the one we loved and laboured over and eventually said goodbye to.

Most importantly, we are now closer to our children’s grandparents and great-grandmother, and that is priceless.

Our move to Salisbury was not a smooth one. Our priority was to complete the move before our son started secondary school, but we faced several delays due to a complicated forward chain. Throughout the process, Adam went above and beyond his role to help get everything over the line.
