Derreenard House

My son and I stayed at Gwens house for a couple of days. The house is really beautiful and spacious, very clean and nicely decorated. Gwen was very kind and helpful and very responsive. Location is beautiful and very peaceful.

A beautiful house, perfect for a break away in a quiet area of west cork. The house has all you need. The shower is great, the bed is comfy and the kitchen has all the items you need. Well worth the visit. Gwen is so lovely and very helpful. A wonderful host.

We had a lovely stay! Gwen is a lovely host, very welcoming and helpful. The place is a really well done renovation, and has been done with great care and detail. It has lovely timber furnishings, a modern kitchen and a wet room. It is warm spacious and peaceful. A prefect hideaway tucked up in the hills outside ballydehob.

Myself & my dog, Bear had a wonderful time in the Snipers barn. The entire space was exactly as seen in the photos & was breathtaking in real life. The design & warmth & sustainability of the entire building was amazing, we were so cosy and relaxed throughout entire stay. Surroundings were so peaceful and beautiful & super close to Ballydehob & surrounding towns.
It was exactly what was needed for us both! Gwen & Austin were so friendly & relaxed & were both a pleasure to encounter. 10/10 from Bear & I !! Hopefully we will be back again!! X

A great place- would highly recommend. In a rural setting and very quiet. The barn is presented very well, clean and had everything we needed. Gwen was flexible with our check-in, which we appreciated. Gwen also gave us helpful suggestions regarding walks and dog friendly places to eat out. Ballydehob is a short drive or a longer walk along quiet country lanes- we particularly enjoyed Levi’s bar. We will miss seeing their 2 friendly dogs also- Finbar and Fiadh.

We had a lovely stay in the barn - very comfy bed, so clean and a very peaceful location. Gwen was a great host and so responsive. Our dog got on well with resident dogs Finbarr and Fia. Highly recommend a stay here!

My stay in Ballydehob was great! The place was beautiful and packed with everything you could need. Gwen was accomodating and communication was a breeze. Would stay there again!

We had a great time staying with Gwen. The space is lovely, bright and open and had everything we needed, including a full kitchen. The location was fantastic for exploring west Cork. I would highly recommend Gwen's place and she is a lovely and friendly host.

We had a warm welcome from our host Gwen, and a wonderful stay in the Sniper's Barn. The place was spotless and it was the perfect base for day trips around West Cork. A very tranquil spot. Looking forward to visiting again !
