Excellent service from Chris. I was going to book an EPC assessment but he had the courtesy to let me know my property currently has a valid certificate. I will definitely be booking the assessment with him once my renewal is due!

SMS messages asking for online reviews are quite intrusive and I never consented to that. Asking for payment via Checkatrade is bizarre as well - I was not quite sure what is it for. Assessment itself was questionable as I was warned my rating might be lower, even though a lot of energy-focused improvements happen over the years. In the end it stayed exactly the same, which means either assesor is wrong or whole EPC thing is a joke or spending money on more efficient utilites doesn't make any sense.

On the positive note payment is requested after work is completed and the booking process is fairly straighforward with dates available almost instantly.

Probably would use again only if I'm on the clock. I would suggest EPC Choice Ltd to care more about the data protection and communication.

That itself indicate you don't quite understand the importance of data handling and its protection. What's the point asking for reviews if later on you doubt them? Your website have no cookies acknowledgment banner, yet you are using google analytics. After assessment I got one miscall from some random number which was identified by mobile provider as EPC Choice LTD. Then Payment request from checkatrade which might as well just be a scam - nowhere on your website or in T&C is mentioned you collect payment using other service. It's just very risky way of operating, because you use several disconnected channels of communication. Since you now managed to identify my account I request you remove it alltogether from your database please, especially personal data like mobile number and email.

On the other end - as mentioned not super stoked with the assesment - seems assesor couldn't correctly recognise the LED bulbs. According to him we were 70% light-efficient, however all bulbs and lighting in our place are energy saving LED as myself I work with electronics. The fact the fixture gets warm doesn't mean it's not LED, all light fixtures are getting hot! Not to mention the upgrade to combi boiler, modern thermostat and TRVs which seem not to improve anything EPC-wise.
