From first enquiring right until handing me the keys to my new home, Brooke went above and beyond to ensure the service she was providing was second to none. I have spoken with many letting agents over the past couple of years and have not had many positive experiences until now. Our estate agency had a very concerning experience with Sprift. After cancelling our service and having no communication for around a year, they reinstated a Direct Debit and took money from our business account without any advance notice. This is contrary to the Direct Debit Guarantee, which requires organisations to provide advance notification of the amount and collection date before taking payment. We had to contact our bank to reverse the transaction immediately. Our records show that all invoices during our period of use were already paid in full, so the claim of an outstanding invoice was disputed. Businesses should be cautious when providing Direct Debit authority, as it appears mandates may still be used long after a service has been cancelled. Instead of addressing the issue, the company chose to flag our honest Trustpilot review. In our experience, businesses reading reviews should keep in mind that some negative feedback may be challenged. Based on our experience, we would strongly recommend that other businesses review billing arrangements and Direct Debit mandates very carefully before signing up.
